Right Form of Verbs Rules — মূল ধারণা

দুইটি প্রধান নিয়মের সংক্ষিপ্ত রোডম্যাপ

#RuleVerb Form
১as well as / along with → First SubjectFirst Subject অনুযায়ী

২Modal + Main VerbV1 (Base Form)
২Do / Does / Did + Main VerbV1 (Base Form)

কেন এই দুইটি নিয়ম সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ?

কারণ এই নিয়মগুলোতে একই Verb ভিন্ন রূপে বসে — নির্ভর করে তার আগে কী আছে তার উপর। এই সূক্ষ্ম পার্থক্যই পরীক্ষায় সবচেয়ে বেশি ভুল হয়।

Right Form of Verbs Part 2 —

#Ruleকী শিখব
১Indefinite Pronoun → Singular Verbeveryone, everybody, nobody
২Have to / Has to / Had to + V1Semi-Modal
৩Noun + Prep + Noun → প্রধানের সাথে AgreementSubject-Verb Agreement
৪And → Plural VerbCompound Subject
৫Preposition + Gerund (V+ing)Gerund
৬Future Adverbial → will + V1Future Indefinite

Rule 1 — Indefinite Pronoun Takes Singular Verb

মূল নিয়ম

Indefinite Pronoun (everyone, everybody, everything, somebody, someone, something, nobody, no one, nothing) সবসময় Singular Subject হিসেবে গণ্য হয় — তাই Verb সবসময় Singular হবে।

বাংলায় এদের অর্থ প্রায়ই “সবাই” বা “কেউ” — যা বহুবচন মনে হলেও ইংরেজিতে Singular।

Indefinite Pronoun-এর তালিকা

PronounবাংলাVerb Form
EveryoneসবাইSingular
EverybodyসবাইSingular
EverythingসবকিছুSingular
Somebodyকেউ একজনSingular
Someoneকেউ একজনSingular
Somethingকিছু একটাSingular
Nobodyকেউ নাSingular

Rule 2 — Have to / Has to / Had to + Base Form (V1)

মূল নিয়ম

Semi-Modal (have to, has to, had to)-এর পরে মূল Verb সবসময় Base Form (V1)।

Have to কখনো কখনো Modal-এর মতো কাজ করে — কারণ এটি বাধ্যবাধকতা (Obligation) বোঝায়।

Have to vs Has to — Subject দেখে বেছে নিন

Rule 3 — Noun + Preposition + Noun — Subject-Verb Agreement

Rule 4 — Compound Subject Joined by “And” Takes Plural Verb

মূল নিয়ম

দুটি ভিন্ন Noun বা Pronoun যদি “and” দ্বারা যুক্ত হয়, তাহলে সেগুলো একটি Plural Subject হিসেবে কাজ করে — তাই Verb Plural হবে।

Rule 5 — Preposition Followed by Gerund (Verb + ing)

মূল নিয়ম

Preposition-এর পরে সরাসরি কোনো Verb বসালে সেটি Verb + ing (Gerund) রূপে বসে। (তবে “to” কখনো কখনো Infinitive গঠন করে — যেমন “to go”)

And, But, Or-এর আগে যে Parts of Speech থাকে, ঠিক পরেও সেই একই Parts of Speech বসে।

অর্থাৎ —

  • Noun + and + Noun ✅
  • Adjective + but + Adjective ✅
  • Adverb + or + Adverb ✅

কিন্তু Noun + and + Adjective ❌ (ভুল)

৬+ বাস্তব উদাহরণ
