1. Introduction

প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থী, আজ আমরা শিখব কীভাবে Interrogative Sentence (প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্য) তৈরি করতে হয়। Interrogative Sentence মানে এমন বাক্য যা প্রশ্ন করে এবং যার উত্তর হ্যাঁ/না বা কোনো তথ্য দিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। প্রশ্ন করার জন্য আমরা auxiliary verb (am, is, are, do, does, did, will, can) বা WH word (What, Who, Where, When, Why, How, Which) ব্যবহার করি। যেমন:

  • Positive: You eat rice. – তুমি ভাত খাও।
  • Interrogative: Do you eat rice? – তুমি কি ভাত খাও?
  • Positive: She is reading. – সে পড়ছে।
  • Interrogative: Is she reading? – সে কি পড়ছে?
  • Positive: He went to school. – সে স্কুলে গিয়েছিল।
  • Interrogative: Did he go to school? – সে কি স্কুলে গিয়েছিল?

এই ক্লাসে তোমরা শিখবে কীভাবে Yes/No প্রশ্ন ও WH প্রশ্ন তৈরি করতে হয়, কোন auxiliary verb কোথায় বসে, tense অনুযায়ী প্রশ্ন, ধাপে ধাপে বড় প্রশ্ন তৈরি, phrasal verb এবং মজার exercise।

Great job, kids! Today you learned How to Make Interrogative Sentences. You know that questions can be Yes/No or WH questions. You learned to use do/does/did for simple tenses, am/is/are/was/were for continuous tenses, and will/can/should for modals. You also practiced converting positive to interrogative, making longer questions step by step, and using phrasal verbs.

Remember:

  • Put the auxiliary verb before the subject to make a question.
  • Use WH words before the auxiliary for information questions.
  • End every question with a question mark (?).

14. Conclusion

Great job, kids! Today you learned WH Questions in Details. You know all the WH words—What, Who, Whom, Whose, Which, Where, When, Why, How—and how to use them to ask for information. You practiced making positive, negative, and interrogative sentences in different tenses, built longer questions step by step, and learned useful phrasal verbs.

Remember:

  • Use What for things, Who/Whom for people, Whose for possession, Which for choice, Where for place, When for time, Why for reason, and How for manner/condition/degree.
  • WH questions need full answers.
  • Add extra words like place, time, and company to make longer questions.
