আপনার ইংরেজির মান কি এক জায়গায় আটকে গেছে? একই রকম সহজ শব্দ বারবার ব্যবহার করছেন? চিন্তার কিছু নেই। ইংরেজি দক্ষতা বাড়ানোর সবচেয়ে সহজ ও কার্যকরী উপায়গুলোর একটি হলো উচ্চস্তরের বিশেষণ (adjectives) ব্যবহার করা। বাক্য লম্বা না করেও শুধু শব্দ পরিবর্তন করে আপনি আপনার বক্তব্যকে দিতে পারেন ভিন্ন মাত্রা।

📊 কেন উচ্চস্তরের Adjective ব্যবহার করবেন?
- শব্দভাণ্ডার সমৃদ্ধ করে: একই অর্থের একাধিক শব্দ জানা থাকলে ভাষা একঘেয়ে হয় না।
- পেশাদারিত্ব বাড়ে: অফিস, উপস্থাপনা বা লেখায় মার্জিত শব্দ ব্যবহার করলে আপনি বেশি জ্ঞানী ও ভদ্র শোনান।
- পরীক্ষায় ভালো নম্বর: IELTS, TOEFL বা যেকোনো লেখার পরীক্ষায় এ ধরনের শব্দ ইতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলে।
- অনুভূতি গভীরভাবে প্রকাশ পায়: “very funny” বলার চেয়ে “hilarious” বললে মজার মাত্রা যেমন স্পষ্ট হয়, তেমনি “delighted” বলে “very happy”-এর চেয়ে অনেক বেশি আনন্দ প্রকাশ পায়।
তবে একটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় মনে রাখবেন: বন্ধুদের সাথে আড্ডায় বা অতি সাধারণ কথায় সহজ শব্দই স্বাভাবিক; লেখায় বা ফর্মাল কথায় উন্নত শব্দ ব্যবহার করুন।
