ইংরেজিতে স্থান বোঝাতে at আর in-এর ব্যবহার সহজ মনে হলেও কিছু জায়গা আছে যেখানে নিয়মের ব্যতিক্রম ঘটে, আর সেখানেই বেশিরভাগ শিক্ষার্থী ভুল করেন। আজ আমরা প্রথমে স্বাভাবিক স্থানগুলোর নিয়ম দেখব, তারপর একে একে সেই বিশেষ জায়গাগুলোর খুঁটিনাটি বুঝব—হাসপাতাল, অফিস, বাড়ি, জেল, ধর্মীয় স্থান, স্কুল ও বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়। পুরো পোস্টটি শেষে একটি কুইজ দিয়ে নিজেকে যাচাই করে নেবেন।
🏞️ সাধারণ স্থান (Normal Places)
সাধারণ স্থানের তালিকা: park, library, gym, restaurant, zoo, stadium, mall ইত্যাদি। এদের ক্ষেত্রে নিয়ম খুবই সরল:
- ❌ at park / in park বলা যাবে না।
- ✅ সবসময় at the park / in the park বলতে হবে। অর্থাৎ Article the অবশ্যই বসবে।

হাসপাতালের ক্ষেত্রে নিয়ম জটিল, কারণ ব্রিটিশ ও আমেরিকান ইংরেজির মধ্যে পার্থক্য আছে।
